Colette x Le Coq Sportif - Arthur Ashe: That Premium Feeling

Obviously the scriptwriter has never seen luxury kicks that comes with their own shoe trees.  Like this one.

You bet my fine ass that's woven leather. ALL OVER. Mewah much?  Yes indeed.

French sneaker brand Le Coq Sportif collaborates with French retailer Colette and came up with a tribute collection for legendary tennis player, Arthur Ashe.  Akan keluar dalam dua warna: blue-white woven leather (shown above) and an all-white leather classic.  Ini mah gila banget karena yang dipakai adalah full-grain leather dari Roux Tanneries, supplier kulit ngetop buat merk-merk ternama.  Itu baru ngomongin sepatunya.  Check out the ultra-premium wooden box packaging.

Yep, it includes a shoetree so the shoes stay in shape, Romans-sur-Isère leather cream and tentunya cloth buat elap-elap kalo sepokat kotor. (((ELAP ELAP)))

Merasa miskin sebelum tau harganya? You bet.  Udahlah mending latihan dulu bahasa Perancis sebelum beli, biar gak kampring-kampring amat.  Nih pelajaran pertama:

Giuseppe Zanotti Kid Cudi

Hit or miss? I would say this is a miss. This is Giuseppe Zanotti High Top Kid Cudi. A type of shoe that only the mother would say that it is pretty. If you give me a million dollar to wear these I would probably give you back the million in an instant 'cos... are you fucking kidding me?! I won't even go to the where-would-I-wear-these-shoes question. They're probably warm for winter weather, but other than that get them out of my sight and hand me a glass of gin.

Vans Spring/Summer 2015 Leather Slip-On Pack: LAAAAAFF!

Some of us might get rada jijay pake slip-on shoes, apalagi gak pake kaos kaki.  But let me ask you this, boys and girls:

VVVHHHYY?

Yeah ok pake kaos kaki would look silly, but isn't this what ankle socks are made for? Wait, on second thought, forget it... don't wear socks when donning slip-ons. Really? Still not convinced?

I mean come on, from the era of kung-fu shoes, slip-ons have never lost their cool factor.  They're iconic and they're easy to wear on those lazy days.  You know how it is with us hipsters stylish people: we wanna look cool but effortless.  Thus the Vans iconic slip-ons!  The newest leather versions of these cool ass shoes lined up calling ME to buy them.  I mean just check out what I found on HighSnobiety. Pingsan gak sih!

For somebody who hates reptiles so much, my eyes are so fixated on the maroon croco. Salahkah jika di kepala ini terngiang lagu: SEPATU DARI KULIT RUSA... ITU AKU TAK MINTAAAAA... TAS HITAM KULIT BUAYA, ITU JUGA KU TAK MINTA... Nyet salahhhh! Patunya yang kulit buayakkk!! *ngakak*

Well anyway, if you LOVE with these slip-ons as much as I do... check them out at Vans.com and pray hard for them to penetrate Indonesian stores because as far as slip-ons are concerned... the choice is freakishly limited even at the Vans flagship store in Indonesia.  What's up with that, Vans? Masa eke kudu PO via seller Instagram mulu? Gak seru ah.

Pharrell Williams X Adidas Originals Stan Smith Big Dot Pack

OH MY GOD! I am beside myself right now knowing that these are out and ready to grab. This version is the continuation of the smaller polka dots design by Pharrell that I will write in my next post. The design is simple yet elegant, although it has invited a fair share of smirks from "loyal" Adidas sneakers' enthusiasts, but Pharrell's fans AND Adidas' fans who aren't pretentious. But I personally am looovviingg these!

Pharrell Williams X Adidas Original Stan Smith Big Dot Pack come in red, blue and black basic color. Pharrell emang ga pernah salah deh kalo ngedesign sesuatu. Dari cover album sampe sepatu. Tapi kayanya sepatu ini belom available di Indonesia. But, they are already available in the US. Once they are available here, believe me... you come to my house and you will find those in my shoe shelf.

Hello MiYo!

So this first post says it all.  It's us. MiYo. Husband and wife, sneaker afficionados (because freaks sound so 2009), who spend money doting on our daughter (of course), good food and sneakers -life savings? What life savings? LOLJK.

Anyway, to cut things short, back in 2008 up to 2013, we used to write for various sneaker website and urban clothing publications.  But since then we went corporate to pursue careers in the internet industry, and just recently we realized that we still browse around looking for hot kicks and that's when it hit us in the stomach.

We never really gave up our burning hot love for cool kicks.  So we decided to start this blog, to document all our findings which made it into our shoe rack or wish list.  And go ahead, be annoyed, because we are writing this partly in English and partly in Indonesian because we can. HA!

To kick off this blog, let's start with something wifey spotted. The Nike Womens Air Huarache in its total awesomeness.

 

OMG like... Nike Huarache aja udah keren banget, riggghhhttt... ini lagi keluar yang colorway-nya manis begini!  I mean look, purple and aqua and a hint of biru biru telor asin nanggung gitu. Okay that's kinda hard to Google when you wanna buy it right? Here's the official colorway title: Purple/Hyper Jade. Browsing ah trus beli. Hello hubby, nyesel nggak sih bikin blog bareng estri? LOL!

So anyway, this Nike Air Huarache for ladies is not yet available in Indonesia deh ya kayaknya.  They're not available in the US either (yet).  Tahun lalu, mereka sukses jadi Foot Locker Europe exclusive dan tahun ini baru keluar di Australia, sis, dan cuma Foot Locker yang jual. Ada yang buka PO? #eaaa

Ok enough for the first introductory post.  I mean, we don't want to look too freaky at first sight, right? *insert loud PHAHH! here*
